'TV Animation Chainsaw Man Exhibition' Opens in Busan on January 21

Busan exhibition-exclusive collaboration café

A wide range of attractions including life-size figures, original animation drawings, storyboards, and behind-the-scenes production videos

The 'TV Animation Chainsaw Man Exhibition' is finally arriving in Busan.

The 'TV Animation Chainsaw Man Exhibition' is a TV anime–based exhibition produced by the world-renowned animation studio MAPPA, based on the original manga by Japanese artist Tatsuki Fujimoto. Since its first showing in Tokyo in 2023, the exhibition has traveled through Hong Kong and Taiwan before arriving in Korea last July to meet Korean audiences. In particular, the 'TV Animation Chainsaw Man Exhibition' drew large crowds in Hongdae, Seoul, riding the success of the theatrical film 'Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc', released in September last year, and even extended its run by two weeks due to strong audience response.

Building on this momentum, the exhibition has confirmed a Busan tour and will welcome visitors once again at DUEX Busan starting January 21, 2026.

As with the Seoul exhibition, the Busan exhibition is composed by recreating iconic scenes from episodes 1 through 12 of the animation. Life-size (1:1 scale) figures of major characters such as Chainsaw Man, Makima, Power, and Hayakawa Aki are on display, along with original animation drawings, concept art, storyboards, and character setting materials. In addition, a rich selection of exhibits is presented, including behind-the-scenes materials carefully selected by MAPPA, as well as special videos and making-of films that showcase the production process.

What sets the Busan exhibition apart from the Seoul exhibition is the addition of a collaboration café. Visitors can enjoy desserts and drinks inspired by popular characters, including toast with butter and jam—Denji’s idea of the ultimate breakfast in the animation—cute Pochita-shaped cookies, Angel Ring grapefruit ade, and Himeno’s flower tea. Visitors who use the café will also receive a bookmark printed with an adorable image of Pochita.

In addition, a newly introduced admission benefit will be given to all visitors to the Busan exhibition. A random photo card featuring one of eight characters—Denji, Power, Hayakawa Aki, Makima, Himeno, Kobeni, Beam, and Angel—along with each character’s iconic line, will be provided.

The exhibition also offers an extensive lineup of goods. A wide variety of Korea-exclusive exhibition merchandise is available, including can badges, lenticular photo cards, acrylic name tags, acrylic stands, clear posters, postcard books, color-changing mugs, mini cushions, T-shirts, pouches, keycap sets, and sleep masks, along with original goods produced in Japan.

A four-cut photo booth, available only at the Korean exhibition, is also provided. With 18 types of photo frames featuring characters and anime scenes, visitors can preserve the memory of the exhibition for a long time.

Meanwhile, a special bonus corner has been prepared at the exhibition exit for fans who miss 'Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc'. Fifteen sketch materials and four posters from Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc are displayed separately, and life-size standees of major characters have also been produced, serving as a photo zone. This will be a rare opportunity to revisit the charm of the Reze Arc once more.

Chainsaw Man is a work by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto and is published by Shueisha. The anime is produced by MAPPA, known for works such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

The story follows Denji, who lives as a devil hunter alongside Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil, struggling to pay off his parents’ debts before meeting death through betrayal. Through a contract with Pochita, he is resurrected as Chainsaw Man, a being with a devil’s heart, and the story unfolds from there.

The 'TV Animation Chainsaw Man Exhibition' will be held from January 21 to May 31 at DUEX Busan, a venue specializing in manga and animation exhibitions. Tickets can be purchased through YES24 ticket and Naver Reservation.
