Solo Leveling, reborn as an exhibition, opened on the 13th.
Solo Leveling is originally a web novel written by author Chugong, later reborn as a webtoon through the artwork of the late artist Jang Sung-rak, who passed away in 2022. Set in a world where gates and dungeons have appeared, the story follows Sung Jinwoo, who begins as an “E-rank Hunter,” awakens through a mysterious system at the brink of death, and grows into the strongest hunter. With dynamic battle scenes and a meticulously built world, it has become a mega-hit IP enjoying explosive popularity among fans both in Korea and overseas.

Solo Leveling Exhibition is composed of immersive content that allows visitors to directly experience Sung Jinwoo’s growth narrative. Visitors become E-rank hunters visiting a Hunter Training Center established by the Korean Hunter Association. Upon entering the exhibition, visitors hear a greeting from Go Gunhee, Chairman of the Korean Hunter Association, and immediately begin retracing the footsteps taken by the protagonist, Sung Jinwoo. Iconic locations from the work—such as the Cartenon Temple, the Hongik Univ. Station dungeon, and the Jeju Island raid—are faithfully recreated in real space, and visitors can even experience the Shadow Extraction skill by shouting the command “Arise,” allowing full immersion into the world. In addition, life-size figures such as “Blood-Red Knight Commander Igris,” “Ant King, the Strongest Magical Beast,” “E-rank Sung Jinwoo,” and “S-rank Sung Jinwoo” are arranged according to the storyline, creating the fantasy of stepping directly into the webtoon.
After completing all stages of the Hunter Training Center, visitors are granted the opportunity to have their hunter rank reassessed. Having leveled up from their initial E-rank, visitors receive a new hunter ID card of a higher rank, featuring their own photo and name.
Beyond the exhibition itself, visitors can enjoy a variety of Solo Leveling goods, including newly produced limited-edition special merchandise created exclusively for this exhibition, as well as four-cut photo booths.
At the collaboration café, visitors can enjoy special desserts and drinks themed around Solo Leveling and receive a status window sticker as a special bonus.
A unique and eye-catching event is also being held. Visitors who share the same name as the protagonist, “Sung Jinwoo,” can enjoy free admission to the exhibition, receive a specially produced honorary ambassador ID card (photo card) as a souvenir, and receive a 50% discount for up to four accompanying guests. Participation in the event requires presenting a valid ID to verify that the visitor’s name is Sung Jinwoo.

Meanwhile, on December 12, one day prior to the exhibition’s opening, the Solo Leveling Exhibition Preview Day was held. Attendees included Jang Jung-sook, CEO of REDICE Studio, the webtoon production company for Solo Leveling; Choi Won-young, CEO of D&C Media, the IP rights holder; cast members of the ice performance musical Solo Leveling on ICE—Lee Ho-won (musical actor), Kim Chaeyeon (tripleS member), Kim Yerim (former national figure skating athlete), and Lee Si-hyung (active figure skater)—as well as industry related officials, domestic and international promoters, media representatives, and influencers.
On this day, the organizer Waysbe Co., Ltd. officially announced the confirmation of an overseas tour in conjunction with the exhibition’s opening. Starting in July 2026, a touring exhibition has been confirmed in three cities in Japan—Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama—and further discussions are planned for additional cities in Japan as well as tours in Hong Kong, Germany, Taiwan, China, the United States, and other countries.
Im Heon-ran, CEO of Waysbe Co., Ltd., stated, “It is both thrilling and a great source of pride that exhibition content created by a Korean production team based on a Korean IP will meet audiences around the world,” adding, “At a time when K-culture is leading the global market across various fields, this Solo Leveling Exhibition will once again serve as an opportunity to showcase the potential of Korean-style exhibition content and the expandability of IP on a global scale.”
The exhibition runs through March 1 at DUEX Hongdae Hall 1, and tickets are available through YES24, Naver Reservation, Melon Ticket, Nol Ticket, and other platforms.
